Install guide

Five minutes from download to driving. You need Windows 10 or 11, the Stream Deck software (7.1 or later) and ETS2 or ATS from Steam.

1. Install the plugin

  1. Close the game if it's running. The game plugin can only be installed while ETS2 and ATS are closed.
  2. Double-click the downloaded .streamDeckPlugin file. The Stream Deck software asks to install it; confirm.
  3. That's it for the game side. DeckyTrucky finds ETS2 and ATS in your Steam libraries and installs its small game plugin automatically. Drag any DeckyTrucky key onto your deck and open its settings to see the status for each game.

2. Start the game

  1. Launch ETS2 or ATS. On start the game shows a notice that SDK features are in use. That's DeckyTrucky's game plugin; confirm it.
  2. Load your profile and get in the truck. The keys on your deck come alive and follow the game.

3. Build your deck

In the Stream Deck app you'll find the DeckyTrucky category with four actions:

  • Truck Control: lights, brakes, retarder, cruise control, engine, wipers, cameras and 80+ more. Pick the function in the key's settings.
  • Truck Gauge: speed, fuel, damage, navigation, rest, job, clock and more.
  • Truck Dial: for Stream Deck+ dials: retarder, cruise control, engine brake, wipers, lights, radio, suspension.
  • AI Co-driver: the Roadie key (DeckyTrucky Pro).

The plugin uses your Windows language (English, German, French, Spanish, Polish, Portuguese, Italian, Russian or Turkish; anything else falls back to English). Units, km/h or mph and litres or gallons, follow your game settings automatically.

4. Set up Roadie (DeckyTrucky Pro)

  1. Get DeckyTrucky Pro. Pay $5 once with PayPal (no PayPal where you live? email us for bank transfer). Your licence key is emailed to your PayPal address, usually within a few hours and always within 24 hours. Put the AI Co-driver key on your deck, paste the licence key into its settings and press Activate.
  2. Get a free Gemini API key. Sign in at Google AI Studio with your Google account and create a key. It's free and needs no credit card. If you ever want more than the free limits, you can switch the key to Google's paid plan; Google bills that to you directly.
  3. Paste the API key into the same settings page. Pick a voice and how talkative it should be. Want a different name or personality? Write it in the instructions box.
  4. Tap the key and talk in your own language. Tap again, or just stop talking, when you're done. You can also choose a button on your wheel to call Roadie.

Keep your API key to yourself: don't show it in screenshots, streams or forums.

Uninstall

Open the settings of any DeckyTrucky key and press Remove next to each game, then remove the plugin from the plugin list in the Stream Deck app. Your saves and game settings are never changed.
